Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth (Lorentzen) Hackl, M.S., CCC-SLP, is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who has been supporting children and families since 2019. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (go Illini!) and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Rush University.
Elizabeth provides speech, language, and feeding therapy for children and adolescents across a variety of settings. She holds a DIR/Floortime® Level 2 certification, guiding her play-based, relationship-centered approach to foster communication, joy, and social-emotional development. In addition to speech therapy, Elizabeth specializes in feeding therapy, supporting both children and their families to create functional, less stressful mealtime routines.
Collaboration with families and caregivers is at the heart of her practice. Elizabeth ensures therapy is meaningful, fun, and functional—so skills carry over into everyday life.
She offers office visits in Wilmette, Illinois, telehealth sessions, and in-home or school visits depending on location and schedule. Elizabeth is an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans and can provide superbills for families seeking reimbursement from out-of-network insurance providers.
